Welcome
No. 2 Swanfold is a Grade II listed stone cottage full of charm and character, with many original period features, set in a delightful cobbled courtyard in the historic conservation village of Heptonstall, near Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.
Newly and lovingly refurbished to a high standard, the cottage comprises a fully equipped dining kitchen, beautiful lounge with stone fireplace and wood burning stove, double bedroom with king-size bed and feature window seat looking out over the village to the surrounding hills, twin bedroom with stone window seat looking into the cobbled 'fold', and newly refitted bathroom with slipper bath and separate shower cubicle.
There is also a cellar housing the washing machine and tumble dryer and providing useful storage for larger items, such as bikes. A pleasant patio garden to the rear provides a peaceful place to sit and relax with a coffee or glass of wine on a sunny evening.
The cottage is thought to date back to the 17th century and is believed to have been part of a Public House and Inn called The Swan, the only house in the fold to have a cellar presumably for the storage of beer.
